All our trainers at Pro-teck9 are highly skilled and motivated, we pride ourselves on our animal welfare and our dedication in helping you and your dog become a great team. We offer 121 training along with group sessions. Our head trainer Jamie also runs Protection Workshops and Seminars throughout the UK.

Our training is progressed at the dog's pace, utilising his natural prey drive (the desire to chase and capture) and suspicion (a cautious distrust of strangers).

However, before we can enrol you and your dog onto one of our training packages, your dog must first be assessed for temperament and drive to ensure he can respond to a threat at any time in a controlled, calm manner, switching on and off from protection mode when required. Not all dogs are suitable and maybe disappointing news to hear, but we will always be open and honest with our clients as we do not want to put anyone at risk.

To begin with your dog should have a high level of obedience but where necessary we can begin with basic obedience training. To ensure your dog enjoys the exercises we will then work mainly in prey drive teaching him how to control his natural drive. Building on from this we will utilise your dog's natural guarding ability and proof the work through controlled aggression towards a decoy to test his ability to switch on and off from protection work on command.
